The Sporting House Bar & Grill at New York New York Hotel & Casino is ready to give fans the perfect venue for watching the Super Bowl as well as other sporting events. The facility, which opened in October at the site previously occupied by ESPN Zone, includes 130 HD TVs and two 16 foot screens.

There are even television screens in the men’s room (Above the urinals, I checked.) so the guys don’t miss a minute of the action! Not wanting to be sexist, they have screens in the ladies room as well. Additionally, this sports fan’s dream includes two full service bars with video poker, a retail shop, and a full arcade with interactive games.

Chris Gagen, Head Chef
According to Chris Gagen, Head Chef at The Sporting House, this is, “the premiere sports and dining restaurant on the strip.” The menu, Gagen told me, “includes the “standard bar favorites along with a handful of eclectic items.” There’s the massive Tailgate Party Platter, featuring Beef Sliders, Wings, Chicken Tenders, Riblets, Three-Cheese Quesadilla and Spinach-Artichoke Dip. In addition, patrons can opt for Maine lobster club wrap, Wagyu Kobe flat iron steak and smoked meatloaf. Of course there are chicken wings, pizzas, burgers and signature sandwiches as well. More importantly, Gagen says, they offer, “a great vibe here.”
The vibe was certainly there when I visited during a kick-off celebration. A large part of that vibe came from the food, but the presence of members of the women-only Lingerie Football League added to the fun feeling.

Kandice and Cathy will be playing for “Sin” in the Lingerie Football League
These lovely ladies who play regulation style tackle football in skimpy uniforms announced their team name, “Sin”. Hey, it’s Vegas! New York new York’s ambassador of good will “Vinnie” was on hand to introduce the ladies including former Baywatch star and Fantasy headliner Angelica Bridges who will be team captain and quarterback.
The Sporting House Hours of operation are 11am to 11pm.except on Big Game Days. Call 702-740-6766 for more details.
