LAS VEGAS – March 8, 2010 – Jason Gastwirth has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. In his new position, Jason will oversee the areas of casino marketing, slot marketing, property marketing, hotel sales, brand & revenue development, e-commerce, entertainment and sponsorship for the 1,300-room resort destination.

Gastwirth brings over 10 years of senior level management experience to the Palms. Prior to his new position, Gastwirth served as Vice President, Casino Marketing and Corporate Entertainment of The Venetian/The Palazzo/Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Gastwirth graduated with honors from Harvard University and went on to earn his MBA from Stanford University. He started his career with Booz Allen Hamilton where he advised senior executives of Fortune 500 companies across various industries on growth strategies, staffing optimization and mergers/acquisitions. From there he joined Gap Inc. in San Francisco as Senior Manager of Strategy, initiating strategies to fuel top-line and earnings growth outlet stores associated with Gap Inc.’s three major brands.
