Hugo’s Cellar – Four Queens, Downtown Las Vegas

If you have never been or haven’t been for awhile, plan an evening at this wonderful, old Vegas style restaurant.  I returned after several months to find the same excellent service, an air of elegance and fabulous stuffed prawns – my favorite although I suppose I should venture to something else on the continental menu next time.  Each woman receives a rose when she enters the restaurant which is a few steps below the casino level in the Four Queens down on Fremont Street.  Black tie waiters, a friendly but informed sommelier, table side salad service and chocolate covered fruit for dessert all lend a feeling of being in another time.

You are so well taken care without being intruded upon.  The menu is all inclusive so enjoy your salad, the best Cesar anywhere and don’t worry about dessert unless you leave room for it.  When you make your reservation (and I would recommend that), let them know if you are celebrating a special event.  They will surprise you.  Hugos is truly a gem in Las Vegas.  I am always surprised to find that a lot of people are not familiar with it or simply haven’t gone.  Pick an evening and treat yourself to dining the way it should be.
